Walking Street Go-Go Bars - Pattaya - ThailandRICKY TO OPEN NEW GO-GO BAR ON WALKING STREET

On Saturday, July 28 it is Ricky’s leaving party in FLB Bar.  The FLB Bar is located at the top end of Walking street.  The Big Bash promises plenty of fun and frolics, free “Becks & Posh” (or nosh), the infamous FLB Dance Contest, and a fond farewell to popular bar boss Ricky.  Join in the fun and frolics if you are in Pattaya’s Pleasure Playground.

Ricky has taken over the ownership of Honey Go-Go Bar on Walking Street.  It is currently undergoing a complete remodel and along with a small group of partners, Ricky will open his new go-go bar at the beginning of September.  The old Honey Go-Go Bar will acquire a new name, but the new name for Ricky’s establishment has not been revealed yet.  Throughout August, Ricky and his team will be working hard to prepare Walking Street with yet another new go-go bar.  With Tricky Ricky at the helm he assures us of something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue!

Filipino Dolly Bird

Welcome Filipino Fever Fans, this column will now appear every fortnight.  Thanks for your support…

Sorry for the missed article last week. I was up to my butt in some things at the resort and then got some sort of funky flu, which made me sick enough that I did not do much Internet stuff (which has to be classified as almost dead). Anyway, I am not sure I have enough material to do weekly articles, so, if Dave does not mind, I will do these twice a month from now on.

FROM THE FREEZER TO THE FURNACE

After Dark Asia MagazineI have recently returned from the freezer to the furnace, or in other words from an icy “summer” in England to the intense heat of Bangkok.  When I landed at Heathrow Airport in London, I thought I had arrived during peak winter. I kid you not it was bloody freezing!  Then two weeks later, I jetted back into Bangkok on a scorching hot afternoon.  What a difference in climate.  As luck would have it just as Dave The Rave lands in London, all hell breaks loose.  Freak storms, severe floods, terrorist attacks and near winter conditions.  I found myself asking whether it really was July, because I appeared to be in a time warp.  Bloody scary I can tell you!  Oh well, I survived my England excursion and I am back where I belong.  I was OK once I had a look at After Dark Asia magazine.  I want you to know that it was just for preparation purposes before the go-go guru returned to the neon jungle of Nana Plaza.  Home sweet home!

After Dark Asia Volume TwoFor those of us that admire lovely Thai dolly birds, you will be pleased to know that there is good news.  A fairly recently published magazine called After Dark Asia has hit the news stands across Thailand. Because After Dark Asia features bargirls, do not even bother trying to ask for a copy in regular book stores.  However, it is available at many news stands that are spread around Bangkok and Pattaya.  The best thing about this magazine is that the quality of the photography is superb.  STOP! Before I get carried away, the dolly birds themselves are superb too!

I am pleased to announce that Volumes 3 is still available.  It was worth the wait because it is bigger and better than before.  The After Dark Asia team are currently working on Volume 4.

Check out the After Dark Asia dolly birds!

Dave The Rave Update

Sunday, July 15th, 2007

Due to family commitments there is no Night Fever online.  However, there will be an update soon when I return to Bangkok this Saturday, July 14.  Sorry for any inconvenience but a family visit to England was long overdue.  These were exceptional circumstances and unfortunately I only had very limited time online.  Thanks for your continued support and I will be in touch very soon…

Kind Regards,

Dave The Rave.

Shakerz Coyote Club

The positive news for Night Fever fans is the recent reinstatement of the later bar closing times, which has given Thailand’s nightlife a much needed boost. But, what needs to be restored is the Land Of Sanuk’s reputation, which has been affected by the introduction of draconian laws and complicated regulations. To some degree the damage has been done, but hopefully given time more Westerners will return to Thailand. This needs to happen by the start of high season, which commences around November. As a friend said to me, “The words Military Junta don’t go down well in the West.” For various reasons Thailand is suffering a drought of farangs, which leaves some places deserted. Those of us that either live in Thailand or visit frequently, know what the current situation is but others far away still question how safe it is. Foreign confidence must be restored but this will not happen of course until a civilian government is appointed. (more…)

Kokomos Beach ResortGood day everyone. This week I want to make a few comparisons between Thailand and the Philippines.
When reading the forum website chat boards, many people try to compare the two. Both have much to offer and each has its positive points. Here are some thoughts:-
