Pattaya – Urgent Update

GOOD NEWS FOR A PATTAYA BOOZE CRUISE

There is good news for Pattaya “booze cruise” fans because no bar closure order papers have been issued in Pleasure Playground.  This means that all of the bars and nightspots right across Pattaya should be open tonight as normal.  Well, that is as “normal” as things can be in the ultimate City Of Sin!

Hi Dave, my name is Stephen from the UK (Folkestone). I’m off to Thailand tomorrow. I’ll be there for 6 weeks. I’ve been four times before but all around the north. I’ve been told a few bits about Bangcock 😉 I’m open to suggestion. Kevin my friend told me find a hotel near Soi Cowboy. Shotgun a Go-Go is a good place he says. What can you recommend? I’m looking for cheapish but fairly secure accomm. Maybe 300-500 baht per night. I know about bar fines and that stuff, I want to see a good show. Girls please. 😉

    Advice or ideas welcome.

    thanks Dave.

  2. Hi Stephen, please remember that Bangkok is the capital of Thailand and therefore, the equivalent of London.  Decent Hotels between 300-500 Baht are hard to find in Bangkok.  For example, many people like to stay at Nana Hotel, or Dynasty Inn.  They are both located inside Sukhumvit, Soi Nana.  Both hotels charge just under 1,300 Baht for a standard room per night.  Directly across the road from Nana Hotel is Nana Plaza.  I run Angelwitch Go-Go Bar on the middle level in Nana Plaza.  I would be happy to meet you and discuss your options.  I am there from 7:30pm until at least 2:30am.  Angelwitch Go-Go Bar is world famous for its choreographed shows.  Pop in if you get the chance.

Further inside Soi Nana, there is Swan Inn, which charges 500 Baht per night.  Being honest, the price range you are looking for, is available in Kaosan Road.  Unfortunately, Kaosan Road is some distance from Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza.  It is notorious for dodgy security and teeming with hippies and backpakers.  I thought I had better warn you.  By the way, there is no go-go bar called “Shotgun,” but “Long Gun” in Soi Cowboy is very well-known for its shows.  My advice is to seriously upgrade your hotel pricing!  I hope you have a good trip.
