I enjoy your column every week Dave, and have always maintained you are a top bloke. You do however have one flaw - and it is a big one. Your old man told you to suppport the team in red. He meant Liverpool, not Manchester United. I’ll give you a real red shirt for your bithday next week!

Thanks a lot lads, I had a great time. My birthday was very enjoyable this year. I was given a lovely birthday cake from Matt (coffee flavour), plus a bottle of JW Black, a bottle of tequila, and a special present from Angelwitch. Leigh surprised me a super Manchester United T-shirt. I was also given a special bottle of Canadian whisky from Mr Ed my webmaster. There were lots of little gifts, tons of drinks and not forgetting plenty of hugs and kisses from the girls in Angelwitch. Considering it is low season, I was very grateful that so many guys made a special visit to Angelwitch for my birthday. In addition, my phone was full of SMS messages and I have a backlog of emails to work through. I have to say that I was touched by your kindness. This was one of the best birthdays I have ever had. I wish to thank everybody for making my 45th birthday so special. The most special gift is your friendship. Cheers!

Happy Birthday, Dave. and United went through on your birthday!! Only got 2 hours sleep last night (and 1 hour on Sunday!) so I think I’m gonna have to stay in tonight, unfortunately. I really was planning to come and see you tonight - should be good. We’ll see, it’s 8 now, so if I wake up in a couple of hours, I might get my glad rags on and come on down. I doubt it tho, I can hardly keep my eyes open as I write this and think I’ll be out like a light, for the night, soon!! Belated celebrations to follow - I have a friend from Manchester here Friday, so I’ll defo be in then. I look forward to that mate. It’s my birthday May 4th (Sunday), also, by the way, as i think I mentioned to you the other day.
