Avoid Cowboy 2 Bar. They keep posting a “Happy Hour” sign at 95 Baht for beer out front but will charge you much more when you go inside. Any complaints will be met with rudeness from the dykey female thugs in white polo shirts. A bad rip off bar with a very rude, bad atmosphere.

Hi Stelian, you must read my website more, there are some great drinks deals now in Soi Nana. Drinks are as cheap as 59 – 65 Baht. You are very out of touch with current information and your comments are rather naive. Most of the girls in Nana Plaza have not increased their prices, you may have had a bad experience, but we live here, and you do not. Some go-go dancers in Pattaya, charge the same as their sisters in Bangkok. Don’t jump to conclusions is my advice.

I am a friequent reader of your site. Now I am back in Bangkok after 2 years and I am so dissapointed with the huge increase in price, especialy Soi Cowboy. Bacara and some of the other bars they went for high price for drinks, bar fine(1000 Bht!), and even the girls now ask 3-4000 Bht.Maybe all that because of the influx of japanese men, now in almost all the bars with a decent line up. Sadly Nana plaza is not to far behind. I am heading to Pattaya tomorow and I hope I won’t be dissapointed again.

Hey Dave,
I was just reading your updated reviews of Soi Cowboy bars, and was disappointed to see that you did not have a review of Rio on your list. I realize it is just one of the many bars owned by “The Man from Iran”, but it has a special place for me as it is where I met my thai girlfriend. Any take on it? I was not super-impressed with it at the time, till “she” sat down beside me that is! lol I stumbled into it simply because I got to the end of the street and figured one more beer in “that place.” No crowd … I think there was only one other guy as I entered, and a very basic show, but with quite a few girls on shifts. Was just hoping for your take on it.

I just want to tell you that there is a mistake in the pub for Afterdarkasia. The hypertext begin with an ”S”, instead of an ”A”.
