That's what they want you for boys, not your great looks ( yeah, right ) or your sparkling repartee. I have had some real interesting conversations with these ladies but now I just can't be bothered with all the crap anymore. That's all, so you see I don't hate Thailand at all, I just hate the bullshit that goes with it, and I'm afraid the farang is a lot to blame for that. Eh oop chaps !!! Those remaining die-hards would do well to regroup into Westerner only bar ghetto's with good management that refuses to employ gals with local boyfriends - I would certainly be willing to pay 200 baht a beer in such circumstances if extra dosh was needed to pay for better quality gals! If the Jap's can get away with having their own bar zone I don't see why we can't either. This would seem a better bet that a mass exodus of disgruntled farang who know too much and aren't particularly happy to just enjoy the show, although just watching the go-go dancing is rather enjoyable and good value by Western standards but hardly justifies the other hassles of getting to and remaining in the kingdom. So until some change comes to the scene I will remain faithful to my CC ethos, and indeed enjoy the show albeit with a bit of teeth grinding and a stiff upper lip. I know already that most of the money that goes to the girls goes to their thai boyfriends/husbands (one good reason NOT to pay more than 500 baht ST or 1000 baht LT) and it would be interesting to have a breakdown on costs with relation to a bottle of beer that costs seven times what you would pay for it in the supermarket. As someone else says, the cost of the beer would be tolerable if the gals were for real, rather than playing silly mind games.
