FRIDAY FEEDING FRENZY!
It is always important to stoke up your engine, before a bout of ‘Friday Night Fever’ in Thailand. A variety of bars and pubs in Bangkok, offer a complimentary buffet to get Friday night off to a good start. This week I feature Soi 8 Pub on the left-hand side, as you enter Sukhumvit Soi 8. In my opinion, Soi 8 Pub is a serious contender for best pub in Bangkok. Soi 8 Pub has a variety of food available, which by far exceeds the pub grub found elsewhere. SOI COWBOY – LITTLE LAS VEGAS
There is no doubt that Soi Cowboy has emerged as an extremely exciting go-go bar area. In terms of Bangkok’s red-light areas, Soi Cowboy has become the preferred choice for many farang residents. Furthermore, the inexpensive Happy Hours are certainly not the only reason why expats tend to visit Soi Cowboy more often these days. There always seems to be something new happening. Soi Cowboy never appears stagnant like it used to several years ago. More and more neon signs are being erected. Also, the majority of bars have been renovated to some degree. OK, most of these improvements are superficial, but Soi Cowboy’s overall image just keeps getting better. (more…)

ROMANTIC REMINDER – CUPID’S CALLING
Some of you less romantic folks might need a reminder that it is Valentine’s Day tomorrow. This is to jog your memory, because you know what us men are like for remembering special days. Try not to forget a card, or gift for the special person in your life. It is not too late to surprise your teerak (sweetheart) by arranging a romantic dinner for two. Just by making the effort, I am sure that it will be appreciated. We should get away with being a Romantic Romeo and not be accused of getting too soppy by our macho mates.
