Some Like It Hot

Leaving On A Jet Plane! I recently returned to Bangkok from a brief trip to England and I am still in a spin! I had to make a whistle-stop visit to see my mother, who has been poorly. The journey to the UK coincided with a passport renewal and the whole trip (including travelling) took less than a week. I do not fly long distance very often and such a short trip really messes up the body clock. My head is still fuzzy and my body feels worn out, despite getting a few decent nights sleep upon returning to Bangkok. I guess I am just not used to flying long distance, but in  my defense it was an extremely short and sharp trip. (more…)

Big Mango Birthday Bash

Tonight (28/01/2012) Daywalker will celebrate his Birthday Bash at the Big Mango Bar in Bangkok. If you are not aware, the Big Mango is located inside the sub soi off Soi Nana (opposite the Rajah Hotel Complex). It is situated down a tiny lane in-between Jools Bar and The Tavern. New Year’s Eve In Bangkok

Yet another year has raced by and New Year’s Eve is upon us. It leaves me wondering why the months fly by, as though we are in a time warp… Woosh!

It has been a year of mixed fortunes for me, you could call it the good, the bad, and the ugly! But, for the best part it has been good, especially towards the end of this year. My mate and popular Bangkok columnist Stickman said, ‘I really think 2012 is going to be your year Dave.’ Now that’s a nice thought and I hope Stickman is right. Hope you have a great year too Stick!
