Thailand Gets Wet & Wild

Today is officially the last day of the annual Songkran Water Festival. This marks the end of the traditional Thai New Year celebrations. But, be aware that the Water Wars in Pattaya last a full week!

The water warriors were out in force once again in Soi Cowboy, Soi Nana and Khao San Road. The photo below demonstrates why so many of us love Songkran.

  1. Whether you love or loathe the ‘Water Wars’ they continue in Pattaya for another four days. Well, I have managed to survive a monumental 20th Songkran Festival, whereby 18 of those years was spent directly in the firing line in the neon jungles of Bangkok.

For the newcomers who get hysterical about their first Songkran Festival, they can discuss it with me, but only when they’ve done 10 or more!
