Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha has declared a state of emergency due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
It will come into effect from this Thursday. However, an official statement as to what the conditions entail has yet to be announced.
This will mean the Thai authorities will have unprecedented governmental powers. It is thought to include enforcing a curfew and putting restrictions upon domestic and international travel.
According to the Thai government, the COVID-19 in Thailand has now claimed four lives. Until recently there was only one death.

I happened to click on your name and noticed we have a mutual friend. Most of the expats in Thailand are a solitary bunch for the most part, so I never engaged you while you were living here. I just wanted to say that people enjoy(ed) your writing and that even though you’re not currently here, that I believe your fanbase would like to hear about the social transition back into the UK…The good and the bad… For the record, people read your blog for the pretty pictures.. but that was only about 25% of the reason why. Thank you for some top rate commentary.
